2013 Steelers Training Camp582 viewsâ€œFor weeks, all I heard was, â€˜Daddy, how many days until training camp?â€™. Selfishly, I was asking myself the same thing, now 33 and never having attended camp myself. I talked to some training camp â€œveteransâ€ to get the scoop, but truthfully I had little idea what to expect. Armed with a few jerseys, a couple autograph footballs, and some sharpies, we made the 5-1/2 hour voyage to Latrobe. Jacoby was so eager to see all of the Steelers! He wanted to slap hands with all of them as they entered the field.

To cap off a great day of training camp, Jacoby got a bunch of signatures, one of which was from Ben! If you could have seen the look on Jacobyâ€™s face when Ben walked over to us! I am truly blessed to be able to have shared this experience with my son. I couldnâ€™t have asked for anything more. Jenny is one of Ben's biggest fans. Her son is named after him and she had a Steelers logo on her wedding dress. Three years ago we lost her mom, my sister Linda, shortly after that I suffered permanent brain damage and I learned just how important it is live everyday to its fullest, make memories and embrace life.

Every game day Jenny and I text during the entire game because many times it's not televised here. One Sunday it occurred to me that it would be great to be sitting right next to her at a game. So I bought four tickets flew Jenny in from Ohio, I flew in from California and my daughter and grandson live in Pittsburgh.
