The Hixenbaugh Men....1005 viewsDad Jeff, sons Jared (left) and Jaxen wear their #7's proudly.
From Jeff:
"I would like to let you know that Ben and the Steelers have gotten me through some very tough times. My middle son Jayden passed away over 4 years ago. He was 3-1/2 years old and had his own unique genetic disorder. We almost lost him after his 1 year birthday. He was in the hospital the whole month of Jan. 2006 in the PICU. I would go there to give his mom a break on Saturday evening. Sunday I would put on my #7 jersey and put my Terrible Towel over Jayden. I did this for all three playoff games. He was home for the Super Bowl win. Even now I think of Jayden a little harder when my Steelers are playing. So thank you Ben and the Steelers.

One TOTALLY COOL LITTLE DUDE!1003 views"Trevin just turned 4 years old on April 29th. Let me tell you...this is real. He is a huge fan like his daddy. He loves Big Ben. We took him to training camp when he was 3-months old. We are taking him back this year. He really wants to try and meet Big Ben. Thank you so much for reaching out. My wife is going to love seeing his photo on our favorite players site. Thanks again!" -- Nate Laughlin

October 11, 2012 - Richard Culliver994 viewsRichard was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor just one week prior to the Steelers vs Titans game in Tennessee. His “absolute dream” was to go to a Steelers game.
That’s when Jason “Moose” Cunningham and the members of Augusta SteelMasters, a Steelers fan club based in Augusta, Georgia stepped up. SteelMasters purchased the game tickets and assisted with the lodging for Richard and his family to make the trip to Tennessee’s LP Field from their home in South Carolina.
Game night arrived and not only did Richard get to watch his beloved Steelers in person, he got to meet them on the field before the game, courtesy of Coach Mike Tomlin who presented the family with field passes!
Richard, the new man about town (or at least about LP Field), was also asked by the Tennessee Titans cheerleaders to pose with them for a photo! After all, they had heard he was a “big celebrity”!

2013 Steelers Training Camp983 views"I was having a hard time pointing out to my granddaughter Ava which guy on the bench was Ben. I yelled over for him to wave to her so she would know it was him...and he did! Thanks Ben! Ava is only three, but she loved her first day at 'Steelwer Camp' and your wave just made it!" -- Tami Kinser
