August 1, 20101407 views- "Roethlisberger just took off his shoe, signed it and handed to a young boy. Then repeated it with the other shoe." -- Tweets from the New York Post's Bart Hubbuch.
And from an article in USA Today:
Once practice ended, fans clamoring to get his signature knocked down a mesh plastic security fence near the Chuck Noll Field grandstands.
Roethlisberger, noticing one youngster getting shoved aside, took off one of his practice shoes, signed it and gave it to 8-year-old Micah Delattre of Houtzdale, Pa.
“Everyone was pushing me and I was crying and he just gave it to me,†Delattre said. (1 votes)

Training Camp, August 3, 20072916 viewsBrianna, who attended training camp from Youngstown, Ohio, took these photos:
"He signed a ton of autographs the whole time during the storm and after it broke. He was so sweet and he was trying to sign for everyone he could. He came to my side but started moving the other way when he was signing, so I followed him, making my way thru a sea of people. I finally got close to him and where he was signing. What I really wanted was a picture with him, but there was still a row of people in front of me, so I just held out my picture for him to sign. He got to mine (people were SCREAMING his name the whole time) and as he was signing it I said in a normal voice, "Ben," and he looked right at me (probably a lot because I said his name normally and wasnt screaming it). After he looked at me I then said, "I'm wearing my Miami shirt for you," as I tried to pull it up a little so he could see it. He looked at it and gave me one of those cute little smile/laughs that he always does (you guys all know what I'm talking about). Then he handed the picture back to me and I stood there for a few more minutes. The team was coming back out and Ben was putting his pads back on. He started running down with the team and I immediately started running down after him. There were so many slow people walking that I had a hard time getting thru. I then ran down the big hill and slipped and almost ran into this guy and the fence, but I didnt fall down. I got to the point where he was at and there werent a lot of people and kept saying, "Ben.....Ben.....Ben," but I didnt keep it up. I didnt want to be annoying because he was talking to some guy, and from what I could make out of their conversation he was a coach from a high school or college (prolly one of Ben's old ones) and Ben let him over the fence. I was SOOOOOOOO close to gettind a pic with him! That was my only real opportunity tho. After training camp, a golf cart took him and a few other players off the field after he was done doing interviews. So at least I got his autograph, sum good pix of him, and I got to talk to him a little bit. He was very sweet and very nice tho. I like him even more now! "

Hopefully I can get Antonio to introduce me to Ben this year in Latrobe, that's like our annual trip (has been the last 3 yrs), we just haven't been lucky enough to meet him. Thanks again Go STEELERS!" -- Chad Pointer (13 votes)

James Shimkus at Steelers Training Camp774 views"I am just writing to the site to show my picture of me and Ben, and to tell you how he is my favorite player of all time! Meeting Ben was amazing and to get a picture with him AND have him sign my jersey was absolutely amazing! A day doesn't go by that I don't think about it. I know it may seem crazy but that memory is the most amazing one ever! Here is me and Ben at training camp a couple years ago. See you at training camp Ben!"

Fan Story - Emily and Big Ben, 2007.3463 viewsEmily had the opportunity to not only meet Ben but to dine with him as well:
"Hi, my name is Emily Kuhlman and I met Big Ben! When I met him, he was so tall (and I'm 5'8" and only in 6th grade). My uncle introduced me to Ben at his sister Carlee's basketball game, because he and my uncle are best friends and I'm a really big fan. After I met him, we all went to Tony's Restaurant (home of the Big Ben burger) because my uncle owns the restaurant. After we were done eating, he signed my jersey and my "Big Ben" pin. It was so cool! Then we sat and talked for a half hour. After we were ready to go we all said goodbye and went home. That was the best day ever!"
Big Ben's BIGGEST fan,
Emily Kuhlman
