November 29, 2022 - Big Ben is "legit"!3678 viewsWyatt McDonald @WyattMgolf
I met Ben Roethlisberger this week. I can’t lie to you and tell you I’ve always been a big fan of his, BUT now I’m a huge fan. I heard him speak at dinner last night and met him this morning. He puts his faith and family above everything and gives the glory to God. He’s legit!

Fan Story - Emily and Big Ben, 2007.3384 viewsEmily had the opportunity to not only meet Ben but to dine with him as well:
"Hi, my name is Emily Kuhlman and I met Big Ben! When I met him, he was so tall (and I'm 5'8" and only in 6th grade). My uncle introduced me to Ben at his sister Carlee's basketball game, because he and my uncle are best friends and I'm a really big fan. After I met him, we all went to Tony's Restaurant (home of the Big Ben burger) because my uncle owns the restaurant. After we were done eating, he signed my jersey and my "Big Ben" pin. It was so cool! Then we sat and talked for a half hour. After we were ready to go we all said goodbye and went home. That was the best day ever!"
Big Ben's BIGGEST fan,
Emily Kuhlman

Training Camp, August 3, 20072832 viewsBrianna, who attended training camp from Youngstown, Ohio, took these photos:
"He signed a ton of autographs the whole time during the storm and after it broke. He was so sweet and he was trying to sign for everyone he could. He came to my side but started moving the other way when he was signing, so I followed him, making my way thru a sea of people. I finally got close to him and where he was signing. What I really wanted was a picture with him, but there was still a row of people in front of me, so I just held out my picture for him to sign. He got to mine (people were SCREAMING his name the whole time) and as he was signing it I said in a normal voice, "Ben," and he looked right at me (probably a lot because I said his name normally and wasnt screaming it). After he looked at me I then said, "I'm wearing my Miami shirt for you," as I tried to pull it up a little so he could see it. He looked at it and gave me one of those cute little smile/laughs that he always does (you guys all know what I'm talking about). Then he handed the picture back to me and I stood there for a few more minutes. The team was coming back out and Ben was putting his pads back on. He started running down with the team and I immediately started running down after him. There were so many slow people walking that I had a hard time getting thru. I then ran down the big hill and slipped and almost ran into this guy and the fence, but I didnt fall down. I got to the point where he was at and there werent a lot of people and kept saying, "Ben.....Ben.....Ben," but I didnt keep it up. I didnt want to be annoying because he was talking to some guy, and from what I could make out of their conversation he was a coach from a high school or college (prolly one of Ben's old ones) and Ben let him over the fence. I was SOOOOOOOO close to gettind a pic with him! That was my only real opportunity tho. After training camp, a golf cart took him and a few other players off the field after he was done doing interviews. So at least I got his autograph, sum good pix of him, and I got to talk to him a little bit. He was very sweet and very nice tho. I like him even more now! "

July, 2013 - Steelers fan heaven at Hells Point2628 views"My friend and I had the pleasure of meeting Ben at one of Virginia Beach's golf courses, Hells Point. The pace of play was a little slow due to a small tournament that was ahead of both of our groups and we crossed paths around the fifth hole. What can I say, It was a huge pleasure meeting with him. My friend Jimmy Banicar and I approached him casually and said we were both big fans and we just wanted to meet him. Ben was not only inviting, but he seemed very appreciative of our approach.
"After a few pictures and a few moments of conversation, I informed him of a few cool places to check out around town including my restaurant Calypso Bar and Grill. As expected he responded with, "Yeah sure. We will try and stop by!". Never did I expect he would take my recommendation and actually fit Calypso into his busy schedule - but he did! The staff and guests all agreed they had the best time being around such a down-to-earth person. Meeting Ben was a great pleasure, not only from being a Steelers fan, but also for the class act that he is! Thank you Ben!" -- Bryan Connolly, VA Beach
