Jupiter865 views...can't believe the Steelers season doesn't start for another six months!!!
Jupiter also sports with black and gold on a daily basis with his Steelers collar and blanket. I always tune into the bigben7 website, both as a Steelers fan and as a Miami graduate, when Ben played college football. -- Angela Mouhlas Franco
Now Jupiter was a recent finalist in the Military Dog of the Year 2013 contest. Angela also wanted to share the Dogs on Deployment website link with Steelers fans also:

Like father, like son!771 viewsHey Erin!
It's been forever since I have spoken with you. I just want to let you know we have added a brand new member to Steeler Nation... Bentley "Ben" James Robert Goodson was born May 22, 2014. I wanted to introduce him to Steeler Nation and to Big Ben's website. I named him after our one and only. Bentley is such an amazing son.
I also wanted to share a quick story: Back when I was going into the 8th grade, I was in a horrible four-wheeling accident around the same time Ben was in his bike accident... Reason why I'm such a fan is, to me he is a great role model and at the same time we shared a scary moment together with the wreck but we came back strong! I've always wanted to share my story with him and shake his hand. I'll make this happen someday. I just wanted to share news and reasons for the name. I hope you have a blessed day. -- Brian Goodson
*Brian's photo can be found in Ben's Fan Photos album! He wore his #7 jersey for his high school senior picture just a few years ago:

September, 2010 - Working with Mr. Whitfield1797 views I've been looking forward to talking to the Steel City about their leader. In regard to Ben being ready... He's ready. He's been through a one-man training camp. It was meticulous, it was filmed, it was Western PA blue collar style. There were three workouts we did right out in the rain, just a downpour, and I was just waiting for him to say 'maybe we take this inside,' and at no time did he even flinch. And you know, he's throwing four or five pound footballs and things like that, and he went right after it. He's ready, he's sharp, the guy's in great shape and more than anything he's excited. So you blend all that together and I think when they uncage him in 13 days, he's gonna be ready to go. I think you guys will be excited." -- George Whitfield, from his interview on 93.7 - The Fan, October 5, 2010.

Veterans Day, 20111400 viewsDear Ben and the Steelers!!!
"My name is Jennifer Thompson. I am sending this email on behalf of my husband Sgt. Garry Thompson. See my husband is now medically retired from the Army after 17 years of service but he will always carry the military with him. It is who he is. He has always been in law enforcement in one aspect or another since the age of 18 years old. He has been in the military police corp as well as a cop in Cocoa Florida. It's a part of him.
'On May 28th of 2008, I received a phone call no Army wife ever wants to get. A spokesman from the Department of Defense called to inform me my husband had been critically injured and partially paralyzed from the waist down after being shot twice to the back one shattered his spine and the other is still lodged in his side. I am not writing this to depress you rather it is quite the opposite. My husband Garry still loves the military and his comrades more than ever. He always states to me he would do everything again even if he knew what the outcome would be. He is wheelchair bound but it doesn't get him down. It's just a challenge to continue doing the things he loves just in a different way.
'He spent time with the Steelers players for the 'Heroes at Heinz Field' event and it made his year. To know you care enough to go out and spend time with these heroes is amazing and I am so very thankful. I have never seen another team do what you do. We spend our quality time together during the games cheering you on, sometimes a bit too loudly but our neighbors understand. I just wanted to send an email letting you know how blessed I am to have this hero in my life and to thank you for all you do!!! Goooo Steelers!!!"
Sincerely, Jennifer Thompson
