July 29, 2017 - Training Camp1744 viewsWhen I was a baby, you would hold me in your arms.
I felt the love and tenderness, keeping me safe from harm.
I would look up into your eyes, and all the love I would see.
How did I get so lucky, you were the dad chosen for me.
There is something special about a father’s love.
Seems it was sent to me from someplace up above.
I will love you forever & I just wanted you to know,
Can’t wait ’til camp is over for the return of my Super Hero!

The "prettiest ornament" on the tree!810 viewsAnd this is Mary's shoe...or rather Ben's shoe! Mary was one of Ben's Birthday Wishes drawing winners back in September of 2011. She decided her autographed shoe from Ben needed to take center stage on her Steelers tree!
You can see Mary posing with her shoe here:

Veterans Day, 20131094 viewsMembers of Steeler Nation UK salute our American Troops from WWII in a special way:
Andrew Duncan poses with the Terrible Towel during a break from a WWII reenactment he participated in this past October. His group is called "Normandy 44", and they honor the memories of the men who fought and died fighting for their country.
"I've been reenacting WW2 troops in the 29th Infantry and the 2nd Rangers for twelve years now. We've been to Normandy almost every year for D-Day to pay our respects to all who laid their life down. We also do schools talks about the unit and the history of what these heroic men went through during the war." -- Andrew

February 23, 2015: A "Thank you" all the way from Cheyenne471 viewsFire Chief John McDougall, Francis E. (FE) Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne Wyoming, told us back in January that MSgt Joel Harr is “the biggest Pittsburgh Steelers fan I know (and I know lots!),†and was set to retire in February as an active duty member of the US Air Force after 20 years of service. Chief McDougall was searching for a suggestion “on how we can make Joel’s retirement very special.â€
More from Chief McDougall:
“Joel grew up in a small town in West Virginia and is an avid fan of the Steelers. I was hoping to make his retirement on February 20th very special. Joel has a family; his wife Karen, sons Braden and Jack, and daughter Evelyn. Karen is an active Duty MSgt as well, and is as much of a fan of the Steelers as Joel is since she grew up in PA. My goal is simple, I want to make Joel’s retirement after 20 years of dedicated and extraordinary service to our great country a day he’ll long remember.â€
Presenting him with a game-worn, autographed Steelers Salute to Service 39THIRTY cap (with the camoflage bill) from Ben sounded like the perfect gift – the players wore those caps during the NFL’s Salute to Service month in November.
Chief McDougall agreed…and when the big day arrived, wanted to share the photos of MSgt Harr’s retirement celebration with us.
