September 8, 2013: Titans vs Steelers870 viewsThe one bright spot of the game, per Bob Labriola of Steelers.com:
Steelers Digest Player of the game -
BEN ROETHLISBERGER
Quarterback
He deserved better, certainly in the course of an afternoon in which he cracked the 30,000-yard passing plateau for his career. It was an afternoon in which his first pass traveled 40 yards and was right on the money only to have it go through his receiver’s hands, an afternoon when he was sacked five times and the running game netted but 32 yards, an afternoon when he rarely was able to operate within a clean pocket.
In the final analysis, Ben Roethlisberger completed 21-of-33 for 191 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and those numbers mean he now has passed for 30,035 yards in his career. When asked about the milestone afterward, Roethlisberger said simply, “It comes in a loss, so it doesn’t do anything for me.â€
Still, it’s a statistically significant achievement, and so Ben Roethlisberger is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

November 18, 2016 - Lil' Fan Friday684 viewsWith Thanksgiving less than a week away:
Six-year old Zane is a first grader at Elida Elementary School (the same school that Big Ben’s dad went to) in Lima, Ohio (where Big Ben was born)!
His teacher, Mrs. Fullenkamp, came up with a fun project called, “Disguise the Turkeyâ€: her class could disguise a turkey any way they wanted so it didn’t get eaten on Thanksgiving Day! Yikes!!
So Zane, a HUGE Steelers & Big Ben fan, decided to disguise his turkey as Ben, “The best quarterback in the NFL!†That way, he could get away from the hunters like he gets away from defensive linemen! Zane, you’re a wise young man!
Thank you to Zane’s grandmother, Carol Cunningham, for sharing his awesome project & photo with us!!

Ben on why he wore Keisel’s 99: “That’s my boy, one of my closest friends, been in my wedding. In honor, miss him, little bit of everything!â€
It didn’t take long for Brett to respond when he saw the jersey his friend was wearing:
Brett Keisel @bkeisel99
I see ya 7.., I mean 99.
