February 25, 2011 - Posing with Jim Kelly1170 viewsWarm smiles on a chilly day - Ben and Jim Kelly in Buffalo, NY after dining at "Pete's Place".
Funny story from the Buffalo News (March 5th edition):
"Big Ben in Little Valley"
Deputy Cattaraugus County Clerk Alan Bernstein had a brush with fame last week.
After opening his work area in the county center last Friday, Bernstein walked to the Department of Motor Vehicles office to get coffee. With a greeting to the clerks and some customers, he did a double-take at a very tall man at the counter.
“You look just like Ben Roethlisberger,†a clerk said to the man, referring to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback.
The man pushed his paperwork forward to register two snowmobiles, and the name on the form confirmed his identity.
“Roethlisberger just kept smiling at me,†Bernstein said. “They said I squealed with delight, like a kid on Christmas. I’ve been a Steelers fan since I was a kid.â€
The quarterback, who was spending time at the Ellicottville home of former Bills’ QB Jim Kelly and was seen leaving the center in a vehicle driven by Kelly, signed autographs and was very pleasant, Bernstein said.

December 6, 2015 - Colts @ Steelers792 viewsFrom Ron Cook, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
When the Steelers played the Colts here last October, Roethlisberger completed 40 of 49 passes for 522 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions in a 51-34 win. The next week against Baltimore, he threw for 340 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions in a 43-23 win.
It quite likely was the two best consecutive regular-season games in NFL history.
Roethlisberger was almost as good Sunday night. He led three consecutive scoring drives midway through the game, ending each with a touchdown pass to three different receivers. His 68-yard touchdown pass to Martavis Bryant early in the third quarter gave the Steelers a 28-10 lead.
It was the fourth consecutive game the Steelers offense scored at least 30 points. Roethlisberger started three of the games and came off the bench early in the fourth against Cleveland. In the four games, he completed 106 of 171 passes for 1,533 yards, 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
