At least this off-season, Ben Roethlisberger didnâ€™tâ€¦well, you know. Now the guy who won twenty-seven of the first thirty-one games he played is toiling for a new coach (Mike Tomlin, who replaces the square-jawed Bill Cowher), under a new system thatâ€™ll entrust him with the offense more than Cowher ever did, and heâ€™s in peak physical condition. Then thereâ€™s that brand-new chip on his shoulder, which we have to admit to liking. â€œI like being the underdog,â€ Roethlisberger says. â€œI like having everyone against me.â€ Itâ€™s Big Benâ€™s challenge to the nonbelievers. We wouldnâ€™t dare take him up on it.
