Perfect Form!406 views"Here's a picture of my grandson Anthony with the Fathead of Big Ben that we bought him...I think he does "Big Ben" well! Ben is his favorite Steeler (and mine of course) and he always says he wants to be a Steeler someday... I couldn't ask for a better inspiration for him! He is hoping to go to Ben's camp some day soon to work on his passing skills and to learn from #7 himself!" -- Karen Siters

Nice collection!426 views"I'm not the type of person to buy merchandise and get it signed to re-sell it. My friend Brad Waite and I have made it a priority to go to training camp every year to see our favorite players and of course, the team. We are both die hard fans and always attend events and games whenever we can. Theres a lot of memories within these few items and many more to come." -- John FultonApr 28, 2014

Uho! 441 viewsI certainly hope these guys aren't planning on driving home in the Gnome Mobile without a DG (Designated Gnome) behind the wheel!
"Thought you guys might like seeing what my husband, Bruce does in his spare time. He searches all stores for these gnomes and paints them like the Steelers. They look like the offensive line. He paints them and gives them to friends and family and they are all over West Mifflin yards! Lol!!" -- Denise Cubakovic Apr 28, 2014

March, 2014 - Patrick Williams1108 viewsErin:
Received the cleat. Kathleen was so excited when she saw the box on the front porch that she was giggling. She went right up and put her pink Big Ben jersey on and her brother's breast cancer Steelers cap and posed in front of Connor's framed Ben bumble bee jersey.
The shoe now sits atop our shrine to the little man, which commemorates many good times for us (the three amigos)- all centered around our familial love of the Black and Gold.
Thanks for the Pleasant Surprise and Here We Go Steelers!!! -- Pat

April 3, 2014: Remember Rocco, Welcome Beny!1157 viewsFrom Margaret Harding, at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
Beny_OfficerLerzaLife without Pittsburgh police K9 Rocco has been hard, his former handler said Tuesday.
“It’s been a long three months, but I’m better,†Officer Phil Lerza said. “I just want to thank everybody for the support.â€
Lerza said he has begun training with Beny, a 13-month-old mix between a German shepherd and Belgian Malinois that the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation bought for him.
“We just started, but it looks good so far,†Lerza said.
Lerza attended a check presentation ceremony Tuesday at the Greater Pittsburgh Police Federal Credit Union in Elliott. The Fraternal Order of Police Fort Pitt Lodge No. 1 and the credit union received more than $23,000 in donations that came in after Rocco, an 8-year-old German shepherd, died of injuries from a stabbing attack in January.
“It’s amazing, actually,†Lerza said of the donations.
The money will go into a Pittsburgh Foundation fund to benefit the city police K9 unit.Apr 04, 2014

March 26, 2014: Santo1196 views“Officer Fritsch is heading to Indiana with Santo this weekend for the start of K9 training! We are very excited to have another K9 to help us in our efforts to combat the influx of drugs in our community. In addition, we are extremely grateful for the grant opportunity through the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation. Budgets are so tight and the funding from BRF aids in accomplishing our mission.†– Captain Ben Bliven, Wausau Police Department, to us on March 28, 2014.
From WSAU News in Wisconsin:
Santo_OfficerFritsch_WausauPD_1Wausau Police officers have a new K-9 helper. Captain Ben Bliven says the new four-legged officer was brought to Wausau last weekend for his initial orientation. “Santo is our newest addition to the police department. He is a two-and-a-half year old German Shepherd, and his partner will be Shawn Fritsch, who is our newest canine handler.â€
Santo and officer Shawn Fritsch will be leaving this weekend for Denver, Indiana to train for six weeks before going on patrol together.
It costs police departments anywhere from ten to thirteen thousand dollars to acquire new K-9’s. Bliven says Santo was purchased with a grant they received from a professional football player’s foundation that focuses on police dogs. “We were able to purchase Santo with the funding that we received from the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation grant that we received back in December.â€
